The idea behind Rock Sound – Egypt began in Alexandria in 1995, and the company was officially established in 1996, marking the beginning of a professional journey dedicated to professional audio, live sound, and audio services for events and productions.
One of Rock Sound's distinguished areas of expertise has been Live Session Recording. Over the years, the company has developed strong expertise and a solid reputation for recording live performances with high audio quality and professional production standards, contributing to the recording and production of a number of music projects with international reach.
Rock Sound's experience has also extended to dialogue recording for drama productions and documentary films, in addition to providing professional audio services for a wide variety of institutions, organizations, venues, and events throughout Egypt.
Training & Knowledge Transfer
Beyond providing professional audio services, training and knowledge transfer have been an important part of Rock Sound's journey.
Through specialized workshops in Live Sound Engineering, ongoing practical training for its staff, workshop participants, and volunteers, Rock Sound has contributed over the years to passing practical knowledge and real-world experience on to new generations of audio professionals.
Over time, this continuous hands-on training experience developed into something resembling an informal practical school of live sound, rather than a formal educational institution. A significant number of individuals who learned and trained through this environment went on to develop professional careers and work in venues, organizations, and production environments with a strong presence in the live performance industry.
Cultural & Artistic Contribution
In addition to its work in professional audio, production, and training, Rock Sound has also contributed to Alexandria's cultural and artistic scene by organizing and hosting cultural and artistic events within its own space in Al-Attarin, one of Alexandria's historic districts.
This space provided an environment for interaction among artists, musicians, creators, and audiences, supporting cultural and artistic activities and reflecting Rock Sound's broader commitment to contributing to the cultural and creative life of Alexandria.
By bringing together live sound, live session recording, music production, audio engineering, practical training, knowledge transfer, and cultural and artistic activities, Rock Sound has built a distinctive professional legacy and a lasting presence in Egypt's professional audio and live-event industry.
